Postgraduate teaching: I enjoy teaching various advanced courses in Real Analysis, Functional Analysis and Differential Equations in connection with Calculus of Variations and Optimization.

"Design thinking" can prepare graduates for the real working world

The Hasso Plattner Institute of Design Thinking (d-school) is calling for applications for the 2018 first semester Foundation Programme. The call is open to students who are registered for a post graduate degree in any discipline at UCT . The programme will run for 12 weeks on two full days per week (on Mondays and Wednesdays) from 05 March – 01 June 2018. The foundation programme is an introduction to design thinking that equips students to work in multidisciplinary teams with project partners around complex challenges. The training will encourage the development of a human-centered mindset in students, and the development of a team culture that is rooted in design thinking’s creative and innovative practices.  The foundation programme requires that the teams engage stakeholders in the context of the challenge and develop design proposals that solve problems that emerge.
